Pilgrims on Apparition Hill
This is the hill were the Virgin Mary first appeared to the visionaries. It is a rocky, steep climb that a lot of people, pilgrims, they call themselves, make barefoot, no matter their age or ability. One of the many things that struck me about this hill, with its foot-worn rocky face, is the number of rubber cane stoppers littering the ground.
